Active in strongman from 2010 to 2020, James Fennelly competed at the highest level in international events. He finished 10th at World’s Strongest Man 2012 and 13th in 2014. Fennelly deadlifted 410kg at the 2016 Ireland’s Strongest Man and set a national log press record of 190kg at the 2017 UK Log Lift Challenge. He won Ireland’s Strongest Man five times (2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017) and was known for his strength in the yoke carry and atlas stones.
