As a strongman fan and regular gym-goer, I was constantly frustrated by how scattered and poorly organized lifting content was across the internet. Want to follow an athlete's career? You'd have to dig through multiple websites, forums, and social media accounts. Looking for competition results? Good luck finding complete, accurate information in one place.
Most fitness websites felt outdated, incomplete, or just poorly designed. I realized that the lifting community deserved something better – a platform built specifically for strength sports enthusiasts, by someone who understands what we're actually looking for.
Learning Through Building
This project started as much about learning as it was about solving a problem. I wanted to dive deep into the world of strongman athletes and competitions while building something useful for the entire lifting community.
LiftingBase launched in early 2025 with a focus on strongman and powerlifting, but this is just the beginning of a much larger vision.
