Active in strongman from 2003 to 2011, Andrus Murumets competed in multiple international competitions. He finished 4th at the 2007 World’s Strongest Man and reached the finals in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Murumets set a world record in the Hercules Hold by holding 197 kg in each hand for 1 minute 5.89 seconds at the 2008 WSM. He won Estonia’s Strongest Man four times (2003–2006) and was known for his grip strength and performances in static hold events.
