Active in strongman from 2000 to 2007, Vasyl Virastyuk won the World’s Strongest Man title in 2004 and finished 3rd in 2003. He claimed victory at the 2007 IFSA World Championship and placed 2nd at the 2005 Arnold Strongman Classic. Virastyuk set a 410 kg (904 lb) deadlift record at the 2004 IFSA World Championships. He was particularly known for his strength in the truck pull and stone lifting events.
