Active in strongman from 1995 to 2008, Magnus Samuelsson won the World’s Strongest Man in 1998 and placed 2nd in 2001 and 2006. He finished in the WSM finals ten times, including 3rd place in 2000 and 2004. Samuelsson set a world record in the arm-over-arm truck pull at the 2001 WSM and bench pressed 300 kg (661 lbs) raw in competition. Known for his grip strength, he famously closed the No. 4 Captains of Crush gripper and excelled in arm wrestling events.
