Active in strongman and powerlifting from 2004 to 2018, Benedikt Magnússon is known for his exceptional deadlifting ability. He set a world record by deadlifting 461 kg (1,016 lb) raw at the 2011 Giants Live London event. Magnússon finished 9th at the World’s Strongest Man in 2005 and 10th in 2010. He won the 2014 Europe’s Strongest Man Deadlift Championship and is recognized for his dominance in max deadlift events.
