Active in strongman from 1997 to 2004, Brian Schoonveld competed in multiple international events. He finished 8th at the 2002 World’s Strongest Man and 10th at WSM 2003. Schoonveld won the 2002 America’s Strongest Man and set a 410 kg deadlift record at the 2003 IFSA World Strongman Championships. He was particularly known for his strength in the Atlas Stones and tire flip events.
