Chris van der Linde is a South African professional strongman from Bloemfontein, born on March 29, 1991. Nicknamed “The Ox,” he stands 1.85 meters (6 feet 0.5 inches) tall and weighs approximately 186 kilograms (410 pounds). Van der Linde gained prominence by winning the 2019 Africa’s Strongest Man competition. He also holds the African deadlift record, having lifted 455 kilograms (1,003 pounds). In 2021, van der Linde competed in the 2021 World’s Strongest Man, but withdrew during the qualifying heats due to illness.
