Active in strongman from 2005 to 2016, Ervin Katona consistently competed at the international level. He finished 7th at the 2011 World’s Strongest Man and 9th in 2012. Katona set a world record by holding the Giant Dumbbell for 78.2 seconds at the 2010 SCL Serbia and deadlifted 400kg at the 2012 Strongman Champions League Finland. He won the overall Strongman Champions League title in 2011 and was known for his grip strength and endurance events.
