Johan Els is a retired South African professional strongman who stands 6’4″ (1.93 m) tall and competed at a weight of approximately 155–160 kg (342–353 lbs). He won Africa’s Strongest Man title twice, in 2016 and 2018. Els also made three appearances at the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competitions in 2016, 2017, and 2018, with his best performance being a sixth-place finish in the 2018 finals held in Manila, Philippines.
