Robert Oberst, born December 20, 1984, is an American former professional strongman competitor known as “The American Monster” who was a regular competitor at the World’s Strongest Man and reached the finals in 2013 and 2018, finishing 9th and 8th place respectively. He reached the podium at America’s Strongest Man three times with two runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2014, plus one third-place finish, and held the American log press record at 465 lbs (211 kg) for four years.
