Active in strongman competitions from 2017 to 2023, Tiano Faapoi made his World’s Strongest Man debut in 2019, finishing 10th, and improved to 7th place in 2021. He set a personal best deadlift of 425kg at the 2020 Arnold Classic Australia. Faapoi won the 2022 Pacific Strongest Man title and claimed victory at the 2021 New Zealand Strongest Man. He is particularly known for his speed and consistency in the atlas stones, completing a 5-stone run (120–200kg) in 22.4 seconds at the 2021 WSM qualifiers.
