Active in strongman from 2017 to 2023, David Shamey competed at the highest international level. He finished 10th at World’s Strongest Man 2020 and 7th in 2022. Shamey deadlifted 435kg at the 2021 Giants Live World Open and won the 2022 Britain’s Strongest Man title. He is known for his exceptional performance in the atlas stones, setting a personal best of five stones (120–200kg) in 19.8 seconds at the 2022 competition.
