Active in strongman from 2006 to 2015, Derek Poundstone was a consistent top competitor on the international stage. He finished 2nd at the World’s Strongest Man in 2008 and 2009, and placed 4th in 2010. Poundstone won the Arnold Strongman Classic in 2009 and 2010, deadlifting 410 kg (904 lbs) at the 2010 event. Known for his prowess in the Atlas Stones, he also set an American Log Lift record with 210 kg (463 lbs) at the 2010 America’s Strongest Man.
