Andy Black is a Scottish professional strongman known for his remarkable ascent in the strength athletics arena. Standing at 6’7″ (2.01 m) and weighing approximately 430 lbs (195 kg), his friends encouraged him to pursue strongman competitions, leading to his victories as Scotland’s Strongest Man and Belfast’s Strongest Man in 2020. Since turning professional in 2021, Black has competed in numerous national and international events, including the 2022 World’s Strongest Man, where he placed fifth in his qualifying group. Notably, he achieved a personal best deadlift of 425 kg (937 lbs) at the 2021 World Deadlift Championships.
