Active in strongman and powerlifting from the late 1990s through the 2010s, Andy Bolton is best known for his historic deadlifting feats. He finished 6th at the 2002 World’s Strongest Man and 7th in 2003. Bolton became the first man to deadlift 1,000 pounds (1,008 lbs/457.5 kg) in competition at the 2006 WPO Finals. He also won the 2005 and 2006 WPC World Powerlifting Championships and is recognized for his exceptional performance in deadlift and squat events.
