Active in strongman from 2005 to 2012, Darren Sadler competed internationally in both open and under-105kg categories. He finished 10th at the 2007 World’s Strongest Man and reached the finals again in 2009, placing 9th. Sadler deadlifted 400kg at the 2008 Britain’s Strongest Man and won England’s Strongest Man in 2006 and 2007. He was particularly known for his speed and consistency in the atlas stones and loading medleys.
