Oli Thompson competed professionally in strongman from 2001 to 2014, transitioning from British powerlifting. He finished 9th at World’s Strongest Man 2011 and 12th in 2012. Thompson deadlifted 400kg at the 2011 Giants Live London and pressed a 180kg log at Britain’s Strongest Man 2012. He won Britain’s Strongest Man in 2006 and was known for his strength in the atlas stones event.
