Mitchell “The Moose” Hooper, born September 29, 1995, is a Canadian strongman and kinesiologist who made history as the first Canadian to win the World’s Strongest Man title in 2023. Standing 6’3″ and weighing 320 pounds, Hooper has an impressive athletic background that includes ice hockey, football, marathon running, and powerlifting before finding strongman in 2018. With degrees in human kinetics from the University of Guelph and clinical exercise physiology from the University of Sydney, he now owns a kinesiology clinic in Barrie, Ontario, while dominating the strongman circuit with multiple major wins including three consecutive Arnold Strongman Classic titles.
