Nick Best is an American strongman and powerlifter who was a world powerlifting champion in the 1990s before transitioning to strongman in 2006. His best World’s Strongest Man finish was 6th place in 2010, and he made the finals again in 2017 where he finished 10th. His major strongman wins include the 2009 Jesse Marunde Invitational, the 2016 Masters (40+) World’s Strongest Man, and the 2016 Giants Live North American Open. Best holds several world records including the Jón Páll Sigmarsson Stone carry and the Elephant Shield carry. He retired from full-time strongman competition in 2022 after finishing second in the Masters (50+) World’s Strongest Man at the Official Strongman Games.
