A former collegiate athlete at Pacific Lutheran University where he played football and competed in track and field, Hatton began competing in strongman events in 2020 when the pandemic halted his powerlifting competitions. His impressive rise in the sport includes a fifth-place finish at the 2022 Official Strongman Games, a second-place finish at North America’s Strongest Man, and winning America’s Strongest Man in 2023 and 2024.
