Active in strongman from 2006 to 2008, Arild Haugen competed in several international events during his brief career. He finished 6th at the 2008 World’s Strongest Man and 10th at the 2007 edition. Haugen deadlifted 400 kg at Norway’s Strongest Man 2007, where he also claimed the overall title. Known for his strength in the atlas stones, he completed a 5-stone run (100–180 kg) in 22 seconds at the 2008 Viking Power Challenge.
